I'm approaching SCC Diamond-10, after which point I'll switch back to MCM (for which I'm currently up to 66 years of run-time).

Good morning, team, and welcome to a glorious Friday!
----------------------------------------![]() I have three types of Friday spread over a four-week cycle, it seems... - my "OK Friday": the weekend looms ahead, but I've just taken over the on-call mobile for work; - my two "Good Fridays": I'm not starting or finishing on-call, I'm in between my stints; - my "Glorious Friday": I've just finished my week of on-call, and handed the on-call mobile over to the next person in the rota at 9am! ![]() |

Let me know your private number Thargor, and I'll phone you at 5am tomorrow morning, just before I set off for the 2 hour drive to take my son to Heathrow (and then the 2 hours back of course).

Good morning all.
----------------------------------------On the theme of Fridays I only have one variety..... The Retired version! Get up when I feel like it, Do what I feel like all day, Go to bed when I choose. It's a hard life but someone has to make the sacrifice ![]()

I think I'll have to politely decline, but thanks for the offer! Then again, there is a chance I'll actually still be up, then... ![]() |

Then there is "my "Friday?? Already?"
----------------------------------------Everyday just blends into the next, same routine, same stuff for 48 weeks of the year. This Friday though, I woke up in Enniskillen to face a trek through the "Marble Arch Caves", with Wifey and Offspring. Great time had by all. ![]() |

Morning everyone, Got some great news in the post.
----------------------------------------I have a copy of the doctors report about my health in relation to my largest pension, It is highly likely that I will receive my full pension as I am to be considered permanently incapacitated. This means a lot to me and my family as I will get a large lump sum and monthly payments. Only took 16 years to convince them, but it has now been done. The relief is palpable. ![]() |

Congratulations Steve, I have a cousin who has lived for quite a while in Thailand and currently he is going through the hoops of trying to get his UK pension (he has moved back to the UK). He is disabled and cannot work but at the moment they are treating him as an alien even though he paid into the system for two or more decades. It's bad when you bank on what you consider to be your rights and the government digs it's heels in. All you have to do now is to move to Bolivia and enjoy your pension tax free!
