I was looking at my results list and it took me a minute or two to connect the new "localhost" device with the BOINC app running on my phone. Now that I know what it is it's not that big a deal, but I was thinking, what about folks that might have multiple Android devices? Would they all be labelled as "localhost" and therefore indistinguishable? Is it possible to change the names on each individual device?

It's cool enough [meaning not as hot], permitting to switch up from sleep mode to find this previous thread, search term "android AND localhost" http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...=0&sort=1&rows=20
No you can't with present BOINC release... If you got BOINC from the play store you will be automatically upgraded [but that's a guess]. |
