Hi Knightro829:
Thanks for stepping up to indicate that you're also seeing a high number of "Invalid" results from your Android device. Much appreciated. Like you, I'm wondering if and when v7.06 will supplant v7.03 on my Android device ... or, if that's already happened ... and how I'll know when the upgrade takes place. Thanks again to all of you for your input and trying to resolve this! DesertSolo |

Answered few posts up.
----------------------------------------Thks for the logs... essentially each had a different proccessing event, yet two of them got validated. Guess the splice angle is not applying. You tell us about Device identification [brand etc]/CPU/Android version? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 25, 2013 6:18:14 PM] |

Hi Knightro829,
You have to abort 7.03 jobs yourself if you want to skip running them. New jobs will run on 7.06. Same concern as DesertSolo...an inordinate amount of invalids running 7.03. Will the 7.06 version of the app be pushed to android devices automatically? |

Hi SekeRob:
In answer to "...tell us about Device identification [brand etc]/CPU/Android version?" ... Phone is a 30-day old Samsung Galaxy S4 (from VerizonWireless), model SCH-I545. 16GB standard w/ phone, no SD card. Android version is 4.2.2. Software update from VerizonWireless is the latest (provided about 10 days ago): JDQ39.I545VRUAME7. I have aborted currently running jobs on this Android device. Will reboot/restart, and begin processing again. This will (hopefully) propel future work units to be processed using v7.06 instead of v.7.03. I I will investigate results over the next several days to see if there is any improvement in the number of "Valid" results reported. Thank again for your help! |

OK, surely you'll keep us posted on the good, with 7.06.
You may get occasional 7.03 send your way... it's how the system works. That said, if you had many invalids with 7.03 the system wont send you more to burn of that version. They'll be going to devices that have good standing with 7.03. As it is, if the original was send out with 7.03, all copies must be processed by 7.03 too. If to many fails on 1 task, it's taken out of circulation, possibly reissued with the newer app. Not our worry... tech housekeeping chores ;>) |

Wanted to provide an update on this issue with my Galaxy S4 Active...still seeing a surprisingly large number of invalids with the 7.06 runs. In particular, after some testing I've come to the conclusion that any run being crunched that is suspended for a time as a result of having my phone unplugged will provide an invalid result. Not wanting to waste FAH's time and resources, I plan to suspend all work on the device until a solution is found.
Appreciate your hard work in providing this opportunity to contribute on our Android devices, and please let me know if I can provide any information that may assist in resolving these outstanding issues. |

Of the 19 7.06 runs I submitted since last Friday that have completed validation/verification, the tally is four valids versus 15 invalids. Ouch.

Hm... I have 7.06 on my Asus Nexus 7 3G and recently the application has started to produce invalid results. Could upgrade to Android 4.3 be the reason?

I am also getting some invalid results. My phone is the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720). I am running Android version 4.2.2.
My phone usually suspends due to low battery (below 70%) or due to battery temperature (above 35 C). My phone gets very hot when searching for a network, that is why I decided to suspend at 35 C. I don't know if these suspends are causing the invalid results. I am running BOINC version 7.2.8. This is one of my 'invalid' logs: Result Log Result Name: FAHV_ x3ZSO_ B_ IN_ LEDGF_ 0050785_ 0031_ 0-- <core_client_version>7.2.8</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> INFO: No state to restore. I'm having the same issue with my Nexus 10. I just started a few WU with only one core being used to see if that makes a difference. I've left the tablet plugged in for a majority of the work units so I don't think it is the suspension/restart.
