Fight Aids on Phone
well run through the beta and now its out of beta

my experiences are not bad... remember it is recommended that you are
1) in wifi range
2) be mostly plugged in

if so it seems not to have many problems

how is everyone else doing on the new project

Hi all, running BOINC / FAAH on a Samsung Galaxy Pocket (GT-S5300). Installed BOINC no problems, connected to FAAH, plugged in to charger and connected to wireless.

Every FAAH task crashes immediately with a computation error.

Model GT-S5300
Android version 2.3.6
Baseband version S5300XXME1
Kernel version 2.6.35.7
Build number GINGERBREAD.XXLJ4

Hello Adrian Booth,
Switch to the Event Log (push at the 3 dots at the lower right) then move to the start where the startup messages describe your system. Please post them. (lower right dots again to copy lines.) Are you running 1 thread or multiple threads. Are you running your CPU 100% of the time? Some peoplefind that they crash unless they run continuously.

We are alpha testing some changes in regards to this issue (both for traditional devices and Android) we hope to be moving these into beta testing later today.

As Lawrence indicates, the short term fix that has helped a lot of people is to set your CPU to 100%. You can do this by going to the preferences tab, selecting 'Show advanced preferences and controls' and then going to CPU limit and make sure that it is set to 100%.

Adrian - can you go to the Projects tab, press World Community Grid, select 'update'

Then wait about 30 seconds and then go to the log files and copy and paste what you see.
