when changing from local preference ctl. to remote profile, server aborts running task with
"result blah..blah..blah no longer usable" (task event log). OS Fedora 19 with Boinc 7.0.65. Sequence: tools-preferences-clear(repeat to verify changes) .......followed with projects & update. At this point task frame indicates aborted, but not by who. results status indicates " detached" with no additional info. ![]() |

Hi grayon,
Sounds serious, but I am uncertain what happened. Just what was detached? WCG? Are you running normally now? Have you rebooted? Lawrence |

I assume that you mean that if you click My Grid - Results Status the Result Name has a Status = Detached. Sorry to be so slow, but this is something that has never happened on my machine. Could you post the first part of your Messages Tab which describes your system?

Please disregard....this appears to be a new manifestation of a previous system labeling problem. Four systems....same name.

Ouch! It has been a while since that problem has shown up. The server can get all confused. The last time was long before we upgraded to BOINC Server 700 code so I have no idea how it looks now.
