Tasks won't load - Communication deferred constantly

Hi,

I've been on WCG for a few years now on a leftover PowerBook G4 soley for Help Conquer Cancer. I just leave it running and check it every few weeks. I saw recently that no tasks had loaded. I tried Update, and then Reset Project, and still only get Communication Deferred 20 sec countdown and then nothing.

I added new projects on the website (Clean Energy 2 and Childhood Cancer) but still no tasks loading.

I uninstalled BOINC and installed 6.12.35 and still no tasks.

Help!

All the projects you indicate are either finished or very special. Chech the box that says if there are no tasks I have selected, send other tasks and see what happens. Also please post the firts 30/40 lines of your messages after a restart biggrin

Is a 'leftover Powerbook G4' fitted with PPC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PowerBook_G4 ? Then, no CEP2. Your best chance would have been FA@H with not too high resource demands, but that was recently upgraded too and no longer supports PPC, which leaves HFCC. This science will return, so it is programmed, but we do not know when.

HFCC (Help Fight Childhood Cancer] is on the WCG My Projects pick list, in the intermittent section, but think you already selected it. Patience, and it will be back... waiting on successfully crystallizing a specific cancer protein type, then digitize the model and then generate the work units [about 6.5 million if using the same compound library]].
