GFAM wrapping up

It would be better if the project was wrapping up because the crunchers produced results smile than that the project has lost funding sad . The color of the badge I have for this project is less important to me than that the results I turned in helped to achieve the original project goal, winning the Fight Against Malaria cool .

Re: GFAM wrapping up

terianne929, I agree with you entirely. It's far better (in my opinion), for a project to complete cleanly (i.e., to run out of WU's to crunch due to either, the project meeting it's goal, or, as in the case of DDDT2, for the project scientists to realise that the application performing the crunching, isn't quite up to the job needed), as opposed to financial reasons.

I just hope that, if/when finance is available again (even if that's a year or three down the road), that the project will be able to be picked up from where it left off - so as to continue finding potential cures against malaria.
