FAICS she's still described on the WCG team and is contributing:
Statistics jhindo If the speed at which the CA listing is maintained is a reference [lawrencehardin now also gone silent and become non-crunching since a number of months], it could of course be she did leave ![]() |

Thanks Juan for taking the time to reply to us. Really appreciated. The reply to which you refer was posted in May 2014 in response to the original post 10 months earlier in June 2013! Another 10 months have passed and the WCG Forum Overview cited in the original post remains unchanged and still lists the late Dave Bell as a CA. Not much appreciation here! In passing I note that Juan Himdo's last post in the forum was Sep 2014. Possibly she was caught up in IBM's January downsizing ![]() Don't think so. I talked to the SN2S lead scientist about an update to the project (which was submitted on March 9) and she said that Juan was the one reviewing and approving the update. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Hi, I'm very much still here! I recently returned to work after maternity leave.
As for the discussion around rethinking how we recognize members who are helpful in the forums.. The sad reality is that while we had discussions around this last year, we don't have the capacity to take on any implementation work in this area this year. As always, our top priority is the research and our team is busy supporting current projects, while working on adding more projects. A perfect example is the ebola project that we launched last year - which is very much a response to an urgent need and work that we couldn't have anticipated earlier in the year. We simply don't have spare resources at this time to dedicate towards something like a forum overhaul. I know this will come as a disappointment to many, but like any other program/organization, we constantly have to make tough decisions about to juggle our current resources amongst many requests and priorities. As always, thanks for your support and understanding. |

Hello jhindo,
----------------------------------------First of all congratulations and welcome back from your maternity leave. Second, I just wanted to say that out of all the BOINC projects that I have contributed I still feel like this one has been the best in regards as to keeping the researches and community involved. Yes there are areas for improvement, however my number one priority for this project has been to contribute my computing power to help the researchers associated with World Community Grid. I am sure these things will work themselves out in the future, but the contribution that we do on daily bases to these projects are priceless. ![]() |

Really appreciated."The WCG forum is important but research and projects are even more. So I think we can wait. But you must not forget the WCG forum in the future and ensure that there is always very involved CA like Rob to answer the common questioning of the volunteers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week ![]() |

"to answer the common questioning of the volunteers"
For those there's Help and Start Here FAQs ;>), but it seems they are extremely hard to find. CA's were there to answer the uncommon, but even those have mostly been captured in the >10 years of forum history. ![]() |
