I hope to still make it to emerald for this project, but it will be very tight. It will be difficult for me also to reach this emerald badge, cjsl CJSL Pulling the plug on my GFAM crunching since I'm only about half way between Ruby and Emerald, and 14 days left isn't anywhere near enough for me to complete an Emerald badge. Them's the breaks. Thanks for us rbotterbGood luck to the rest of the crunchers finishing up you tight runs for that next GFAM badge.

Hi jonnieb-uk, I just submitted the last batch for phase 1 of GFAM to the IBM World Community Grid team. The final batch # = 116485. After that batch (and all the ones before it) have finished crunching, the GFAM project will go on a long pause. But whenever we make a new discovery in the GFAM results and then publish a paper on it, I will post the news here and on the GFAM site, to keep you all informed about the progress that you helped us achieve. See: http://gofightagainstmalaria.scripps.edu/inde...r-potential-malaria-drugs Thank you very much for your continued support! Cheers, Alex L. Perryman, Ph.D. Thanks, Dr Perryman. Let's hope adequate funding flows for this vital project. John crunching, crunching, crunching. AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-core Processor with Windows 11 64 Pro. Dr. Perryman, did you get official approval from TSRI to use crowd funding?

Dear Sekerob
I followed the link in your Signatures to lead upto the chart at link Quick Look Last or Current Day Projection (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q210/Sekerob/WCGQuickLook.png) If I am asking something too obvious , I would request to you to be patient with my ignorance. What I was looking to find was: which project is projected to finish earliest at current rate of computing and which one will finish the last. I guess this chart possibly should tell us who finishes earliest and who finishes last. But not able to find out which column indicates dates (or projected month/quarter) for this. Maybe I am not reading the table right. Or maybe I need to look at some other chart. Once again, thanks for your time to read my query and I appreciate any help available to find answer to my query Thanks and Best regards Gopal Sharma |

Gopal Sharma, projected completion dates (days left) can be found in the top most chart in the FAQ section of the forums.
Been running GFAM almost all of 2013, still need 2 weeks till Emerald :/ |

Hi Gopal,
----------------------------------------Ideally, if you look at this chart, you'll see that GFAM is the first scheduled to finish (in approx. 8 days time), followed by HPF2 (15 days). Both these two projects are completing early due to a reduction in funding. Then, it's currently projected to be; DSFL (142) CEP2 (369) FA@H (522) SN2S (673) Once HFCC has it's new target (currently being worked on, with no ETA as yet), it'll have ~90 days work. Of course, all these are estimates, and are subject to change as/when things happen (i.e., both GFAM and HPF2 originally had a lot more work scheduled - thus, were due to run a lot longer). Once GFAM and HPF2 complete, all the remaining work should in theory (providing that the volunteers donating their spare computer cycles continue crunching the available projects), speed up. Hopefully, there'll also be at least 1 (possibly more) new projects launching in the not too distant future... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at May 26, 2013 7:26:06 PM] |
