HPF2 to finish

Looks like the first ever WCG project, HPF(2) is to finish.

HPF2 to finish

That's going to be the end of an era.

From a personal point of view, that's my favourite project gone (now that HFCC and HCC have gone too). Hoping for a new project soon.

Well, HFCC is not gone yet... Target 11 is in the works, and I know it's truly in the works, no ETA though ;D

I didn't know that - thanks - as HFCC really is my all-time-favourite distributed computing project. Reselecting it now. (Also, we have "a few weeks" of HPF2 left as well if I understood correctly, so it's not over yet. I'm looking forward to hearing what is next though).

GREAT if the contribution of all the crunchers worldwide aims to complete a project so the scientists can use the results for cures applause

Yes, very sad crying to hear the premature ending of HPF2, but on the other hand I'm glad smile that the work that has been done has been useful to the scientists. Now for the mad race to finish the project and pull in another badge.
