Poem is NOT sending out any GPU WUs.....lready tried that! Yes, they are, but they're limiting them because they can process only so much. They also seem to giving preferencial treatment to crunchers in their home country. Where do you read that? Im not from there country but geting wus...not stable so you need backup projects with poem but ok. Didn't read it anywhere. It's a conclusion drawn from the stats. Certain crunchers can produce millions of PPD where I can't get enough tasks to keep 1 machine busy 24/7. I ran POEM for 10 months before the WCG GPU app started so I know what it takes to produce 3-4+ million PPD.

You only need enough maschines? From technical side i see no problem to get 3-4M ppd? I know sometimes it is hard to get wus. sometimes i sit beside my work for hours hitting the "refresh" buttons over remote administration for some single wus when cache is empty for nearly a day. ^^

You only need enough maschines? From technical side i see no problem to get 3-4M ppd? I know sometimes it is hard to get wus. sometimes i sit beside my work for hours hitting the "refresh" buttons over remote administration for some single wus when cache is empty for nearly a day. ^^ I have enough machines to do 3-4+ million PPD but since the cache limit is 100 I can't get a constant supply to even keep 1 machine running 24/7 so I don't bother running more than 1 and having them sit idle most of the time. I could fill in the idle time with other projects but that's not the point.

The cache limit is 100 per machine/Host, Not per user. It sounds a bit you dont know it, but i think it is only a missreading ^^

The limit is 100 per GPU but that is not rellevent. What is rellevent is getting a steady supply to keep a machine running 24/7 which I haven't been able to do for a long time. My point is that some people appear to be getting a steady supply while others are not. I even made a point of this on the POEM message boards. The silence was deafning.

I even made a point of this on the POEM message boards. The silence was deafning. ;)Actually that is a problem in many projects. In milkyway there was a user that constantly accumulated thousands of wu's without crunching a single one. I reported him to the milkyway staff several times but it took almost one year before they reacted and cut him off the project. |

the lower the hardware the longer you can crunch on this 100 units. So when you have as example 10 slow machines, you can get a steady supply of 2-3M PPD.

POEM can run on both of my GPUs in my PC if I let it. |

oh cool i didnt noticed that, even im in there forum sometimes O.o does it need very fast hardware or does it run "ok" with normal older hardware too?
