Re: upload eof errors?
Booting may establish a new path to the file server. Most of the times the previously mentioned actions and booting the router/modem [wait a minute so memory fades of what IPs were hooked before] refreshes stale pathways, without having to stop the client, which is pretty expensive in progress terms for CEP2.

I'm not sure how this thread gets the title of [Resolved]. I've restarted my computer a couple of times and am still having this problem. I'm not as expert with computers as many here, but this is the message stream from my most recent restart:

Most Energy tasks do complete but some just seem to keep going and going. This has been happening only during the last 48 hours or so. I have been running the Energy project on an unlimited basis for the last little while after discovering that it doesn't harm my computer to do so. I believe my specs are those at the top. If you need any more, I can do some digging but the basic answer is that I have 8 gigs of memory which run four cores so I think I have lots of horsepower there and when I compare my times to my Wingmen, my speeds are very good compared to previous systems I've owned.

Re: upload eof errors?
You guys with upload troubles may want to run a tracert to the Harvard server in console to find out if your link times out.

A link timing-out wouldn't be a big problem, but a server happily accepting the full upload for so spitting-out an error-message is.

CEP2 has two upload-servers with the *.147 being bad and *.157 working as it should. Since DNS will swap between these IP's after a few hours, except for users running so old BOINC-client won't listen to this change, where's probably a 50% chance re-boot and so on won't work but be back at the bad server. Also, even if gets the good server, after a few hours it's a chance swaps to the bad server again.

I removed the [Resolved] because it isn't. Rebooting my host didn't help. So far the wus have uploaded eventually but most of them get this error a few times first. I have two stuck waiting to retry now. I'll read through Rob's and others' suggestions to see if they help, but it seems clear this is a recent, and neither isolated nor resolved problem

So it seems from Ingleside's post that my best tactic is just to let things go until I get an announcement about the .147 server. That works for me.
