What logic causes a WU with a later deadline to start running High Priority?

In my case all HCC GPU WU's

Why are they not processed in report deadline order

i.e. Soonest deadline soonest biggrin

Can the WCG signal a WU that has been returned by another cruncher to run?

Yours confused

Dave

Re: What logic causes a WU with a later deadline to start running High Priority?

I have seen the FAQ but it makes no sense to run WU's days ahead of those that need doing today

AFAIR, this is an issue in older versions of BOINC Client and should be fixed in latest ones. What version are you using?

BOINC's 7.0.28

Starts at the very beginning

A very good place to start

It kicked off soonest deadline soonest.

I'll keep an eye on it

Thanks Branjo

Re: What logic causes a WU with a later deadline to start running High Priority?

No problem David smile

I hope WCG and BOINC will soon release new official WCG Client 7.0.xx (currently there is WCG Client Candidate 7.0.64 for Alpha testing for Windows 32-b) which will fix all such errors (but there will probably bring some others wink ).

Cheers peace

ETA: Could you David, please, edit the OP and add [RESOLVED] in the title? Thanks biggrin
