I have and unusual problem. A GRAM WU running very slowly. They usually run on my machine (running Win7, 2.5 GHz Core2duo processor with 4 GB’s of RAM) in 6 to 8 hours. The one that I am running now is only 44% complete at 24 hours. At this rate it is going to take 55 to 60 hours to complete. It does seem to be making progress, just very slowly. Should I abort. I don’t care about credits.

First, use task manager to check to see if the work unit is getting its proper cpu time, for a core2 duo that would be 50%. If it is not you may have some other process which is using your cycles. If it is getting the proper amount of cpu cycles, rather than abort, exit BOINC and reboot. Then check after a while and see if it is back to making normal progress. Hope this helps.

The reboot seems to have done the trick. The WU seems to be progressing at a reasonable rate now. Thanks for the help.
