Re: HCC April 2013 update

I think what they are talking about is the fabled hcc2 project.

Still could have managed sapphire at both, if the new work added to HCC around the end of CFSW would have been announced a little more in advance. Oh, well. That's two missed badge goals, I'll just have to hit the new projects heavy when they're released.

Re: HCC April 2013 update

Thank you for this exciting news.
The HCC project was the first one that I joined here at WCG.
So I am more than exited that you are preparing next one, especially considering that you are challenging the toughest illness in my opinion.

@Scribe I am sure that the new project will employ GPU as far as they have experience with it and they saw a great computing power, which WCG chrunchers has in their GPUs.

Say we wish "veľa štastia" to Dr. Jurisica from Slovakia ;-)

Great work, thank you!

Re: HCC April 2013 update

The WCG team that I participate in for the most part prefers Cancer research related projects.

I sense some concern already as the HCC work units are coming to an end.

Is there some sort of a time line as to when this next work might become available?

Re: HCC April 2013 update

At the end of the update, this was printed:
The title, launch date, and further details will be announced at a later date.
The first thing we 99 out of 100 notice will be an [unspecified/anonymous] beta! Main Reason: WCG does not like to be scooped when it's PR time, which often is weeks after... first trial production [to see if it's ready for the big show].
