@ keithhenry We've discussed previously the importance of WCG emails and I thought you might be interested in my suggestion re WCG emails, particularly #2, and the WCG response. I'm convinced that some users sign up for a team as part of the initial WCG install, and then forget having done so. Anything that nudges them to vist the team page can only help. Of the ~110 members active for the UK team active in 2013 only arounf two dozen have ever visited the forum. Higher than the Global average I think but it could be much better. Your suggestion is an excellent one. I've elaborated on it a tad.  At any rate, given the workload WCG usually has, who knows when we might see anything like this. |

I have half a dozen betas for SN2S, and the rest for FAAH. Those are all I have for In Progress. Managed to snag one of the SN2S betas as well. Hopefully, we'll see more work for that project soon. We could REALLY use the additional project choice. |

All I see is FAAH and Clean Energy work units. NO other projects? Guess i've missed a ton.. Dr. Mike.. REALLY GREAT to hear from you Doc! Yea, lots has been happening in the last couple of months. We've got just FAAH and CEP2 for now while we all wait for more work for SN2S and DSFL. There's supposed to be a new cancer project "late this summer" (IIRC). We're almost halfway thru summer now so I keep hoping to see some betas for the new project! |

----------------------------------------Want to say thank you to those of you who keep this thread active. I remember back when I was first looking for a team to join, an inactive team thread was enough for me to move on to the next possibility. We've got quite a few folks that we haven't heard from in a while. Don't be shy. The end of HCC and GPU crunching hurt WCG as a whole. The drop in active projects hasn't helped either. There are a lot crunchers that weren't around back when 2-5 projects was more typical. We've been affected as well. The drop to 22-26 active crunchers a day has been prodding me to get started on reworking my stats cruncher. The "Top Twenty" is not really fair to those 2-6 crunchers not in it and I'm not keen on just dropping it back to 10 or 15. Just need to carve out a bit of time here and there and just keep at it. Getting the new cancer project going will be a big help all around. Besides, since it's the same folks that did GPU for HCC, I'm hopeful that the new project will include GPU as well. |

Hi Keithhenry great to be back afer more than a year long haitus.
----------------------------------------I am crunching on several android devices including a quad core Nexus7 and beleive it or not 4in Scroll Pocket tablet as well as 2 conventional 7in tablets, will get the Quad Core PC running up too once this looping problem with FAAH is sorted out. Hopefully when more projects are running the numbers will pick up. Thank you for the Welcome!!!     |
