I agree with Sekerob - one of your memory sticks went belly up. Solution: Replace and carry on. Good luck Yep! Replace and move on! Thanks Sekerob and Sgt.Joe. ![]() |

I also have something very strange -- but it is being "loaded up" with WUs to be run.
----------------------------------------I suddenly have a larger number of WUs shown to be run, but they all indicate a normal number of hours for each to run to completion. Do we have some much shorter units being sent but they show "old" normal run times, or is there an attempt to clean out a backlog of WUs that need to be assigned? ![]() ![]() "Everything in moderation, including moderation" -- Mark Twain |

I have noticed there can be great variability in run times. The vast majority of these units on one of my systems are 3-4 hours long, but occasionally I see a few which take under an hour. If you get a number of these it will throw off your DCF(Duration Correction Factor) and you will get an inordinate number of units. As the units return to more usual run times BOINC will self adjust and send fewer units. This may take a couple of days. If it gets too out of hand, reduce your cache settings.
----------------------------------------Cheers

See http://wcg.wikia.com/wiki/Incorrect_%22to_completion%22_times 3rd item of the NB section, just added. Feel free to correct grammar... lots more contributors / maintainers are needed to keep this wiki up to date.
