AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's [RESOLVED].

AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

Anyone know why?

One of my machines has the above GPU/card, it works the monitor fine, but does not get wu's

Milkyway@home reports the error ' GPU lacks necessary double precision extension' could this be the problem?

I know milkyway@home is not the same but it does return an error

Please advise...

Many thanks

Re: AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

Post your startup log, first 35 lines and it will tell us more.

AFAIK, the 6670 is crunching at WCG, certainly not on the blacklist, meaning an acceptable percentage of results result in valid: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=GPU#610

Re: AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

Hello Mamajuanauk,
Milkyway@home reports the error ' GPU lacks necessary double precision extension' could this be the problem?
This is not a problem at WCG since HCC processes a camera image. Single precision is all that is needed for a camera photo from a microscope. Do your messages mention asking the scheduler for a HCC work unit?

Re: AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

Message log looks fine for the ATI card part, Mamajuanauk, with OpenCL v 1.2 loaded [OpenCL 1.1 minimum required], so it could be as simple as not having selecting the GPU work box in the device profile that's associated to this device.

Option text: "If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above."

Re: AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

GUys, I think I found the problem!

From the log file - 07/03/2013 16:29:32 | | GPUs have become unusable; disabling tasks

Now we have to find out why and how to fix it!

Thanks

Re: AMD Radeon HD6670 not getting wu's

Problem is that if you set GPU to compute during use [default is off for a reason!], the video drivers could crash on Windows when using the system. It does for me on same machine both for W7 and W8, so it's only idle GPU computing.
