Re: The stats withdrawal thread.

That was the whole point... taking care of distractions is half the surviving of any cold turkey symptoms. (And keeping this thread on top, in case it were possible, yes there's a possible always when you think it's impossible, that someone missed the news of the outage :).

edit: And just when I posted this, another anticipator to keep us in uplifting mode, was released by knreed:

The change is progressing well and we are deep into the process of reloading the database. We look to be somewhat ahead of schedule at this point.

ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

Someone help me! PLEASE!!!

edit: I had sedated myself hoping not to away until this evening, but alas, it was not to be. I was also hoping that my toilet might . . . let's just say, be draining more freely by then as well. I was doubly disappointed.

Re: The stats withdrawal thread.

Try Yellow Pages, maybe you will find them interesting. I do not - too many characters, too poor story sleep

Cheers peace

Great job, techs! Always a good move to under-promise and over-deliver!

HUH???

Welcomed to my world. crying

From KNREED:
Ok - we have now handle the very significant surge in scheduler requests following the outage. The system handle the load, but it was definitely under pressure. Now that we have been up and running for a few hours, the system is running very well. The end of day stats and other processes are running now and they are running quickly. Additionally, some of our backend processes such as reports that we use monitoring batch progression are working properly again and quickly. We are going to be allowing the system to continue to run the backend server daemons while the database backup runs in a few hours. If all goes as plan, there will not be significant interference. The next item on our agenda is the installation of the additional memory which will occur about 36 hours from now.

Yea! More mammaries.
