Re: Multiple Sclerosis - Lets Talk

yoro42,

There's some good research going on to at least freeze/slow the progression. Here's a news feed on MS (in case you not already have this one): http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/sections/multiple_sclerosis/ . Auto-immune responses is a far further involved process in the body than it's given origin of cause, so that would be the general area of research to follow too. There's so much pollution in the environment these days, it could even be set off by something in the air [the infamous fumes from drywall in houses to name one].

Often getting the best available is researching yourself, if you can, and a good physician/general practitioner that has a willing ear to follow up on a lead. Our doctor is a [first response] hand waiver, but he does though later proof to have listened and done some reading on the involved literature and come up with right smack out of the suggested treatment corner.

Take care of yourself, and if stumbling on more [foreign language] news, will post it in this MS specific thread.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis - Lets Talk

Rob,

My primary purpose in starting this thread was to involve WCG and an MS research project at some point in the future.
As for myself I have great MS Specialists and support groups. I'm relatively up to date on MS research but my doctors are way ahead of me.
The MNT site (thanks for the link)is a new one for me and I will pass it on.
Thanks for your insight and concern,

Rory

It is a national effort aimed at informing people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies, and harmful misconceptions that are prevalent in our society. For a snapshot, go to the official website at http://stressawarenessmonth.com. Check out the free downloadable short guides on how to manage stress.

The Stress Awareness Month Challenge is tarting tomorrow (late but not stressful) and will end on April 30th.
