Re: 23 days of work remaining for target-10

As was noted, until the [good] crystallization of the target protein can be achieved in the group external to Chiba, there's no building the model against which the lowest energy dockings can be computed. Setting an April or May target could and proofed to have been optimistic. It will come when it comes, and may have a pre-beta to go with it since this one is a little different, is my understanding.

Re: 23 days of work remaining for target-10

FYI, just in case the urge to ask arises again, by coincidence did the HCC Webcast summary of May 29, 2013 include this paragraph which is what Chiba is waiting for to succeed for target 11: "Protein crystallization is fiendishly difficult, and depends on hundreds of factors, including the purity of proteins, super saturation, temperature, pH, time, ionic strength, purity of chemicals, and the volume and geometry of samples. Each particular protein the researchers need to find the specific conditions under which it will crystallize, and at present there is no way to predict what those conditions will be for each protein."
