Re: JTS 2 Alive - kicking and on the way up

Ok,

here's what I was going to say when I was sober...

Alot of us here come from grid.org, as you know... We have been through multiple blackout's recently, database rollouts which havn't been complete are are crunching on cancer data which is quite possibly been done so many times before that the results will just be going in the packet shreader...

Alot of us had been signed up to that project for a long time, and wouldn't have considered leaving until all projects were finished. If you actually look through the grid.org forums, you would see many a discussion on whether we should devote our CPU power else where or not.

Now, I don't regret moving... But at the time, I was quite upset about leaving the project due to the back end being under-maintained when I had invested sooo much effort into geting clients running.

BTW - out of all the people to move over, I am prolly the one who had joined grid.org most recently. been their < 6 months, so I can't imagine how the others feel.

This and there's someone here who is quitting cause a few people talk too much... Trust me, there was more talking grid.org, more social occasions ( I havn't even seen any posts here about people who live in london or chicargo or where ever meeting up for a bbq with their local crunchers)...

It's just part of the social aspect, which can be as important as the crunching because it gets new members interested

Sorry - like I said should have waited until I was sober
