The first flight after a major incident is difficult. Especially with all these reliability worries at the moment.
----------------------------------------I wish the crew and everyone involved all the best! "May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand." |

Thanks mycrofth. I did not know this site. It seems to provide very nice high level info - with easy to read schedules, while the NASA site is more technical.
.. have not read a post from you for a while, so nice to see this one mycrofth. Hope you are keeping well and ..... fingers crossed for the launch. |

Yes, I do a lot more reading than writing in the forum just now. There seem to be very few queries with technical problems just now and - - nice catch on Error 326, Robsab - - members often jump on the few that do show up before I notice them. I expect that to change later in the year when we start having news to publicize and start attracting more new members. |

Tanks are now being topped up (i.e. once they reach around 100% propelant, they need to be topped up continuosly as the difference in temperature - tank warm, propelant cold - cause the propelant to get more and more dense, and more "fits" in. Hence the "steam" at the top tank.
Ice debree team is going out to inspect the new fuel tanks - final test prior take off. only three hours to go..... wow. The sum off all the stress of all people involved must amount to a mega sigma . Fingers crossed. For all interested, there is a direct feed of NASA tv available via the NASA site - via Yahoo for windows media fans and Akamai for real player |

only three hours to go sorry that was misleading. Three hours to go before the countdown proper begins. The shuttle should take off in six hours time (launch time) however the official countdown (which starts three hours before launch) commences once the prelaunch tests are all "OK".. just a coincidence that we have three hours to the countdown, which lasts three hours giving a launch time of six hours from now. i.e.: 3hrs to start of countdown + 3 hours of countdown to launch time = 6 hrs from now. too many threes here. good thing we are not dealing with two, to and too - ![]() |
