There is a "ready to go" confirmed and checked.
God bless them all The nasa sites has a tracking system (3D version is cool, you need to select the object you wish to view) http://scisites.msfc.nasa.gov/realtime/jtrack/3d/JTrack3D.html ...I am getting a clear feed Dave. You may have congestion locally. I stopped using the windows player as it was locking up - switched to real player and it is very stable and consistent. the count down has begun!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOO |

Congrats Nasa on a beautiful launch. Just watched it on CNN and it was great. All the extra camera's made watching the launch even more enjoyable - looks like they were suprised that we got to watch the external fuel tank seperation. That was quite a sight.

Watched it on CNN as well -- what a beautiful sight to see. The camera on the external tank really was a treat. Looking back at the curvature of the earth only 8 minutes into the flight -- wow!

Yes it was The Aspens.
Quite unbelievable now that the whole process has become totally transparent and accessible that we got to see almost everything. If you go onto nasa TV - you can hear the conversations between Huston and the flight crew LIVE. They are repeating some of the footage of the launch on the nasa TV now. |

The discovery shuttlw crew reported a problem setting up the pc network in the shuttle. They got it up and running and the situation was summed up with the following comment:
"of course network problems are unheard of in space " - LOL (Julie Payette - Canadian Capcom) ![]() |

Well done NASA.
Just listened to a passionate speach delivered by the shuttle commander Eileen Collins saying thank you to all those who helped get the shuttle back up into space as well as to those who lost their lives in ST 107. Good night all - and special prayer to all those who are working on improving our quality of live through space exploration. |
