Top 500 supercomputers

If I look at what it takes to qualify in the entry on the latest list you have to be over 76.4 TFlops.

If I look at the Boinc benchmark values (worth what they are and just for the fun, as the Top 500 go through various Linpack benchmarks) I have 3 GFlops for CPU and 9 up to 10 TFlops for GPU depending on the ATI board and get some 1.6 TFlops for the NVidia ones.
If I cumulate all the rigs that crunch at the moment I stand at about 103.2 TFlops.
According to this way of calculation I should be in position 289. Funny isn't it. wink

I tried to find a Linpack package running on Windows 7 and adapted for multicore CPUs and GPUs. There are some softs available but not usable without some adaptation.
It seems that we have to design the package accordingly.
Too difficult for me. If anyone has an idea how to proceed I am interested. Maybe Movieman has some hints.

Thanks Sek Interesting. The difference is about 10%. For me that is a lot.
Not only is Linux free but also faster. A virtuous circle smile

Send the organization a request with your idea. See if they can assist.
