In that case consider deselecting HPF2 for those devices [attach them to a separate device profile]. There's no fix [cant be reproduced in labs]. In past I found this to happen when running together with FAAH/HFCC (AutoDock), when the 10x more frequent 401 error was still showing.
----------------------------------------edit: And to underline, in 99 out of 100, this fail happens within seconds of the task starting i.e. no loss of computing time, only loss of bandwidth. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 10, 2012 9:11:15 AM] |

The systems are running HPFP2 & HCC GPU only (GPU is only one at a time on each), the only similarity between the 2 systems are that they are Hyper-Threaded (1x I7-870 & 1x I7-3770k), with Win7 Prof 64bit.
----------------------------------------My Non-Threaded Quad core is also running HPFP2 & HCC GPU only but so far hasn't returned an error (Win7 Prof 32bit). I will carry on regardless as the ratio of errors are only small, I am just adding my voice to the (hopefully), few people seeing these errors and fishing for a possible work around (but sounds like there isn't one). FWIW, on my main machine I get about eight WU errors per day in HPF2 that all happens within 1-2 seconds of the start of the run, yet I'm still returning approximately 30-50 WU's per day in HPF2 that eventually get validated, so I figure the few errors aren't hurting anything, other than a bit of extra bandwidth. I don't notice any difference of more or less errors in HPF2 no matter what other research projects are running.
My errors are always: Result Name: qs453_ 00036_ 1-- <core_client_version>7.0.64</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> (unknown error) - exit code 1073741855 (0x4000001f) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\nblist.cc line:711 Unhandled Exception Detected... - Unhandled Exception Record - Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0xC3009B78 read attempt to address 0xC3009B78 Engaging BOINC Windows Runtime Debugger... I have received 6 similar errors to Dana Helqueson in my short time processing.

This is my standard reply, from earlier in this thread:

Agreed. Previously I would get errors in either the first minute or in the first 17 minutes. Recently I had to cut back usage to 7 hours per day of cheaper, off peak electricity. It would appear that the WUs do not like restarting so as I had so many restarts erroring after around 3 hours that I have sadly has to remove HPF2 from the list. Both PCs run Supermicro X8DTN+ motherboards with 2 x X5675 in one and 2 x X5679 in the other; both are hyperthreading to give 24 virtual cores each with 12Gb RAM.
No other projects have had so many errors so what with the demise of HCC GPU work and having to stop HPF2, I get a feeling of redundancy coming on. Roll on more WCG GPU work ...... |
