Bugs in BOINC client

Where do I report bugs for the BOINC client?

1. The latest BOINC client (6.10.58) does not work with Windows 8. It's not even possible to install on Windows 8. See this error message:



"Failed to add to the 'boinc_admins' Group (BOINC Master).

2. So I was told to install and run the development version of the BOINC client 7.0.31 which can be downloaded here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php/

However, with version 7.0.31 I always get the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error. When I uninstalled the BOINC client 7.0.31 I dont receive this error message anymore.

The driver error is because of the GPU running work as well. It isn't the version of BOINC that caused this. Running GPU work requires a lot of trial and error to get it to run flawless.

1. Try different drivers
2. Disable unnecessary graphics such as Aero
3. DO NOT use a screen saver
4. Do not over burden the system to where it laggs to the point of the driver timing out.
5. Watch your temps. Tweak as necessary.

Post more details about the hardware/software setup for further assistance but be prepared for the possibility that it may not get better. I have drivers crashes a lot on older cards at SETI and periodically at Einstein. Those cards wont run here. However, they run flawless at other projects. Just goes to show not all applications are equal.
