'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

[RESOLVED]I'm getting the 'no work available' message on my servers which have never run the HCC-GPU app so now they are running idle.

edit: BTW - they had their own profile which was the default set to "maximum"

edit2: and the 'no work' message relates specifically to HCC.

Re: 'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

I have not changed anything in my setup and have not touched the app_info.xml.

Naturally the cpu cores have started crunching CPU WU's. The GPU has started crunching GPU grid tasks.
I had no interruption about availability of WUs.

Re: 'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

OK, I set up another profile that included everything but HCC and a couple of other projects and tried again. Now I'm just getting the generic 'no tasks available' or 'task committed to other platforms' messages.

I'll try eliminating the gpu check boxes too but I doubt that will make the difference since none of the servers have qualifying gpu's.

I didn't change anything either. I leave the servers alone. That's why I built servers - so I wouldn't have to baby sit them.

Detach then re attach. I did crunch gpu and after removing the app file, received the same type of messages. Once I detached/re attached, got wu's flowing again.

Nope, no luck. I reset the project and also removed it and then re-added it. No detach, re-attach option anymore on the 7.0.28 client that I could see.

Re: 'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

I have stopped receiving "normal" CPU HCC WUs, but have received instead HCC resend WUs (ending with _2 & _3).

Re: 'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

The work for GPU and CPU comes from the same pool of work. So when work is gone for GPU it's also gone for CPU.

The only work members should see at this point are the resends of results that either did not get returned or errored out by other members.

Thanks,

Re: 'No new work' issue is affecting non-gpu machines

I understand.

I'm not seeing ANY work on ANY project.

I have every other project selected BUT HCC

I know that sometimes I miss things and I'm not clear, but I really don't think I've screwed up this time.
