The film with the most twists and turns and an overall enjoyable film (enhanced by Mrs Douglas) Entrapment
----------------------------------------The plot was for the co-star Sean Connery to trap super thief Douglas, who, was as I remember and insurance assessor investigating high value losses in her day Job So many twists and turns, you really do not see the ending coming! Brilliant!

One of my favorite movies is District 9. I really love the ending of the movie.

--Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) - Like all of the Ice Age movies, this was a lot of fun. Scrat's adventures which get kicked up a few notches are pretty funny - something that is impressive given the already stellar history they had to try to top.
----------------------------------------Some new characters are introduced who are alternately adorable and charmingly exasperating. It's a typical Ice Age movie which is intended as high praise. --Jack Reacher (2012) - It was OK, I just don't like Tom Cruise. I like that it was more in the anti-hero vein although that's not really the right word. It was more a darker sort of hero like the Punisher except it seemed a little forced and equivocal. There was some passing info about snipers but not enough to be educational or interesting. The car chase was good but mostly standard stuff. The plot twist is sort of obvious from the beginning although maybe not if you're just watching it in the background. Robert Duvall was entertaining and overall it was completely watchable but I don't think I'd go out of my way to see it. ![]() ![]() |

Went to see Lone Ranger yesterday, was hilarious, esp if you are my era and remember the 'old' one, good one-liners from Tonto

I was underwhelmed by Iron Man 3. For the money it cost to make, thought it was a poor effort.
----------------------------------------Tony Stark is Jason Bourne with a bit of Macgyver mixed in for good measure. ![]() |

It's not often that I find a really awful movie that I enjoy. Sharknado was the last one, but I just watched Machette Kills and it was fantastic.
----------------------------------------The number of Hollywood names that appear in the movie is reason enough to watch. Mel Gibson, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, Antonio Banderas, and on and on. ![]() ![]() |
