...I run 2 concurrent now after installing all Windows Updates ( I'll try that too ). Time is 15min for two... that's 7.5min per unit. I'm just hoping that my Windows won't restart after few hours. Are you running them on 2 CPU cores? Since CPU utilization is very low (it is 100% only on 0%, 49.707%, 50% and 99.707% of each HCC1 GPU task), you could try running them on 1 CPU core and use the other one for some other project Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Yes. I'm running them on 2 CPU cores. I could run 2 GPU WU on one core because CPU utilization is very low but we will see.
This graphic card is very quiet. Only 37C temp working all day long and there is no additional power supply connector. I hope it will keep crunching like this. |

What are your windows power saving options? I was having similar behavior. My 7770 would crunch multiple units at once just fine - no work unit errors, but the box would reboot overnight. I found two settings which have subsequently stopped all mysterious reboots.
The first is simply to set "Turn off the display:" to Never. Yes, you'll have to remember manually turn off your monitor. Secondly, if you dig into the advanced power settings, there's a tree item for Sleep. I had to ensure everything under that item was set to Never and set "Allow hybrid sleep" under there to Off. Like I said, no reboots since. For what it's worth, I have tried each setting individually (eg Let the monitor sleep after 10 minutes while leaving hybrid sleep off and vice versa) and the reboots return. |

----------------------------------------I'd like to see your measly 7770s overcome that. mm - I'll put your quoting flops figures and computing powers aside... and let you know just then end result. The measly 7770's working together scored a pidley 132,202 BOINC points yesterday. I wonder what is wrong with them or have I got my settings wrong ? At $70 ea second hand, they're permorning quite well I reckon. Oh but wait up, the best I saw your 7950 perform was a 90,000 point day !! Now I can play mother-in-law game: "I told you (him) so"
----------------------------------------Computing power of 7770 is 1.28 TFLOPS SP. X3 = 3.84 TFLOPS SP. Computing power of 7950 is 2.87 TFLOPS SP. Q: Why he should take 2.87 TFLOPS instead of 3.84 TFLOPS? 3.84 (GFLOPS of 3x7770) / 2.87 (GFLOPS of 1x7950) = 1.338 132,202 (Credits from 3x7770) / 90,000 (Credits from 1x7950) = 1.469 - even better than the a.m. computing power benchmarks given by AMD. Good purchase underwater Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Shrubbing@Home since January 5 2006 [Edit 3 times, last edit by branjo at Mar 29, 2013 6:30:30 PM] |

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Sure nanoprobe, 7970 in the cannon and if WCG would be my only hobby, I would definitely buy some . We just compared (much) weaker 7950 to (not that bad) 7770
