Re: Amazing Efficiency (points per hour) of GPU Crunching

I can try running few more cards to get over the 4k mark, but I would not be able to hit it with one card. At least for now.

EDIT:

Heck! I'm gonna see if I can do it without putting more cards online. I'm going to try running 2 units on each GPU and see if that gets me over 4k with the same hardware I've been running. I know I'm sacrificing CPU cores that could run other projects, but I'm curious if I can get that 4k.

Re: Amazing Efficiency (points per hour) of GPU Crunching

Buy a single 7970 GHz Edition and that will be solved.

This has been my results in the past few days with my 7950, there was a lot of work shortage and I was doing a lot of experimentation at first, but give me another week and I'll start giving out consistent amount of work. One of my problems though is I have over 1,000 tasks waiting to be validated, and the number keeps increasing every day. It seems I am completing work units too fast, so numbers aren't going to be perfectly accurate.

I don't see it as a "problem". I'm just not at the point of buying a new card right now. I already have about 10 computers and 30 GPUs that I could make use of, they're just doing a bunch of other things right now (see sig). wink
