Re: Rig Showcase

Hmm...so you gonna leave it to the mousie to start things off? tongue

It's a crunchin...mine have been crunching more or less 24/7 for a bit over a year now. wink Just not all the same project...taken a bit of a tour around, though I've probably put in close to 3 years of cpu time combined over various projects.

Alright, rig showcase, item 1 biggrin

Here it rests happily, crunching away linky (cause imageshack doesn't seem to work right here, and i'd rather not torture dial up users with the larger versions of pics taking forever to load...)

Now take it out for a better look... linky

ah, the fingerprint and dust magent...pretty after wiping it down though biggrin

A quick look inside...linky

Mmm...copper biggrin linky

K...so, that's my main rig.
a64 3000+, currently running at 2390
with an xp90c keeping it cool
a nice gig of ram
on a dfi nf3 250gb board
shiny antec sonata case
dvdrom and dvdrw
simple ide hdd, dual boot to xppro and gentoo
and a pretty lil 17" lcd, not pictured

what's everyone else got? biggrin

Re: Rig Showcase

Wow mousie - have you been polishing that copper or is it RED HOT from all the crunching?

My second PC is a protein based system - goes in line with the crunching philosphy. Since it is very new technology, I can only present a very high level overview (no schematics - sorry).

NOTICE: DO NOT TRY WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION
(i.e. buy adult sunglasses to get super vision - first hahahahah)

Re: Rig Showcase

Is dust magent an overclocking term?
confused

Yes IT IS. wink

It is the state of unharmonious resonance that takes place when electrons flowing through the semiconductor material that is laser sliced to fractions of a micron in depth come across alien material (dust particles) and since they are traveling at speeds higher than those induced by standard clocking, they are forced into ultra horizontal breaking, shifting down manually using reverse thrust liquid hydrogen rockets to come to a halt. They then send biological light waves to the Jedi’s responsible for sweeping the autobahns giving precise location details.

The dust particles are decimated by the Jedi’s using optical anger prongs (making scary faces at them) which cause them to scream at frequencies just above standard clocking frequency. This in turn resonates through the silicon based compounds used to transfer heat through to copper heatsinks that form nebulae around the casings of PCs which take away dust particles by creating a vacuum inside the PC.

A complete description can be found here: http://www.1112.net/lastpage.html

I hope you have found this useful. biggrin biggrin biggrin
