are the servers down? any reason why I can't download any work units for any of the projects? I changed nothing with my preferences, etc.

What does the even log say after you press the Update button?

In case the user is running a "mature" client version, that what's in the message tab log. (In help and support we love having to deal with these differences).
The "No CPU work" option on the web device profile now actually functions [knreed posted yesterday and tested this morning], meaning if it was set to not receive CPU work, all that the client message/event log will print is either no work requested or "don't need!". Suggest to recheck it's set to "Yes" and save, then hit update in client twice, first time to transfer the new profile settings, second time after they've been received [or be patient till client went through it's logic cycle]. |

A few days ago 2 of my work units failed to upload the result. Instead, they just said downloading and showed up in the Transfers tab. No new work unit would download. Once I worked through my cache, I updated. Then I aborted the 2 stuck tasks. Then I reset WCG. (I tried a lot of other things that did not have any useful effect.) This got me back to normal. You are really not telling us much, you know.  Lawrence |

You are really not telling us much, you know. Lawrence i've had a couple of those too, the only one i remember the science was an FAAH unit a week ago.. Since I was on vacation and not paying attention it cost me almost a whole day crunching on a 24 core box before I caught it - that hurt.  Being on vacation also kept me from mentioning it here, Mrs. Pramo didnt want to see me near a computer   |
