Reads to me he spend time on Google and then revisiting WCG without success, in IE. B21, never heard of before in the almost 8 years of WCG. IE... it's like risking your live, certainly your private information and passwords, don't use [I don't, period]. There's a major hijack bug doing the rounds now, with an emergency patch from MS due out today. WCG addresses to the forums you can try out in the address bar: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/ http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/ When you can't see logged in screens, edit the address-bar, so if the address starts with https://secure. change it to http://www. then tell us if this makes a difference. Tried http://www. on the My Grid page and it continues to function. There could be a bug in the web-code that stops switching back to http:// which I understand is the preferred and faster address. https:// is only needed during log in and confirmation of e.g. profile changes. But, it's irrelevant really... it is supposed to work either way. edit: On the Hijack risk, there is a MS FixIt program out now. Visit: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/securitytipstalk/arch...or-internet-explorer.aspx . Read carefully if this applies to you, the gentlemen in the below post too! As what I posted earlier today [quotebox above], the announced IE cumulative security update has arrived clocking in at 26.9MB. Read http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms12-063 for the ugly details. After you run the update, MS will want you to boot the computer. |

This thread is just another testament as to why I would not under any circumstances ever use IE. If you installed FF and then used the NoScript addon you'd be shocked to see what's running in the background on most websites these days that IE just lets run. JMHO.

From links provided by SekeRob (YouTube), I have understood that OP has gotten Babylon through FF and than Babylon has spread to the system, IE and Chrome.

For me, this thread is just another testament as to why I would not under any circumstances ever use FF. Cheers and NI! ![]() To be honest ... this is why I do not even think for a second about using MS Windows as main system.. ![]() It may be a good game loader, it may be useful for what one likes to do, but it will not be a trusted system because it does not provide the clear and easy diagnostics and repair as a *nix does. Of course, a *nix system can be infected to, but then ... cleaning is easier. Finally: anyone can decide on its own what operating system one will use. And I'm happy that I trained my parents not to use the IE under any circumstances. FF, Chrome ... anything is better than this. ![]() Regards, Stephan PS: I can remember that once there was a babylon translation tool on my parents computer. But It was easy to uninstall and did not cause any harm. May be B2i was talking about another "babylon" tool? ![]() |

Here's one joke..
The only time you are allowed to use Internet Explorer is when you're downloading Chrome or Mozilla. Now make sure that IE is not used in following the link to the article about the vulnerability in IE that contains that joke. Here's the link. Enjoy! ; |
