i think since results are in public domain, anyone can bring the hard drives and get the copy of results for further study
----------------------------------------i am not 100% sure that there will be many of such persons, but some one may find this interesting, especially if he gets a government grant :) ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by rilian at Sep 4, 2012 8:05:00 PM] |

i am curious who will be using the results of this project, and in what ways. thanks. The Project Scientists posted an original post about what they hoped to do with the data, it is back awhile though. Also periodically the same people have posted updates. A group, outside WCG, came to WCG and asked to have us the crunchers solve a problem and WCG is only hosting the project, as they do for all of the projects. The deal is the info had to be in the public domain when finished for anyone to use, this is how all the projects here at WCG work. |

My opinion is that as this project is not about an invention but more about what is the best thing to do, and therefor it's a bit deferent from some of the other projects at WCG.
I hope that what can be learned will have real world benefits and that those policy makers will listen to the scientists and that will lead to them making better decisions. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/cfsw/overview.do |
