I realise that there is currently a problem and that the Techs are working on it (Thumbs up to you guys!)
----------------------------------------I've noticed this error message appears on my BOINC message list: Scheduler request failed:HTTP file not found Is this related to the current downtime or do I have a concurrent but unrelated problem? I am running BOINC 6.10.58 on Windows 7: Home Premium x86 Edition. Thanks in advance for your help. ![]() |

Just wait a few hours and try the update command a few times. After a few tries it should try to download the master file and if the servers are running it will do so and you will be able to send off data and receive data from wcg.

The one machine I've left on-line is now on a 2:46 hour back-off counter i.e. this is *not* resolved and not going to be as was indicated. See
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33701 Wait for techs update this known issues thread before hitting update. Not a single bit is moving now to/from BOINC servers. TBs worth data to be backed up and then a file system repair and then assess what work in the hopper might be damaged needing restore. You don't want to rush fetching new work in that scenario and find pieces missing. |
