I'm running BOINC manager since February 2012 and My statistic is still 0 (run time).
How can I check that my computing is done and that results are sent? Thanks |

Hello
----------------------------------------I'm sure that someone with more experience will be along soon, but in the meantime you should confirm that your BOINC client is definitely linked to the WCG project. In BOINC manager, click on the "Projects" tab and make sure that one of the lines says "World Community Grid" in the projects column. If not, you may be crunching for another project. To add WCG, select "Tools -> Attach to project or account manager" and select World Community Grid. I hope that helps? |

Hi,
----------------------------------------There is the BOINC/WCG icon in the system tray at right. Double click on it to open the BOINC Manager. If you see work unit progress information, you've confirmed that the client is computing. What I've already confirmed is, that under the member name you've now posted there is no contribution recorded. If you have checked above that your client is running and processing, then we need to find out under who's member name the results are reported. We'll do that after your reply. edit: Here is a link to a stepped self-help test how to find out more of where the computing time goes: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewSelfHelp.do [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 29, 2012 12:58:10 PM] |

Hi danijel.paulin, although we'll have to wait until you've carried out the checks detailed above, but if you're working for IBM, you may be using their standard install which automatically links in with the user "IBM". By going to the Projects tab on your BOINC manager (in Advanced Mode), you'll be able to see the Account your machine is contributing to.

It was attached to IBM account. I did the steps to remove and add the project to my account and now I see that it is attached to me.
Thanks... I'm continuing to contribute.... |

Excellent - well done.
----------------------------------------BTW, if you're wanting a badge (even if it's just Bronze) for the projects that are very shortly to be finishing (HFCC, HCMD & CFSW), then I'd strongly suggest changing your project preferences to achieve this. ![]() |

danijel.paulin,
Good your [continue] to crunch, now under own account. You did not say whether the steps to detach from IBM and attach own were followed from the "Self help step link" provided in my first reply. Interested to know if it work for you. For any interested, there is no need to switch from Simple View [default new installs] to Advanced View. Thought there was a hover or pop-up in 6.10, but after asking the developer, he told me which buttons to push . This is how it works for client 7. 1. Select WCG from the project selector 2. Hit the Projects Command button 3. Select Properties from the little drop down menu 4. A new info window appears showing details, including account name to which the client is connected for WCG. Presto Pronto. ![]() |
