I normally install Boinc on Lenovo machines without problem. I installed it on a Toshiba yesterday following my normal process. I did not get any connection to any project nor download started. Any clue? /Kenneth

Not really, clueless in fact without a message/event log from startup to after where connection is attempted and failing. Toshes are fine, but for some power management issues [something about going to sleep or scaling down the CPU Hrz IIRC].
