All cfsw WUs that I have received after 13:00UTC are erroring. My 4 windows computers got errors on some part of batch no 144. On other batches not. From few hours no one is getting new jobs.
However linux is getting now 143 again. |

Afterthought: Will this ruin my machine's "reputation?" I often get assigned short deadline "redos," which, if my impressions are correct, means my machines are well-trusted. Correction: If you get an invalid, your reputation will be ruined. However if you just get an error and all wingmen get the same error, your reputation will remain intact since your machine was not at fault for the error. Afterthought: Will this ruin my machine's "reputation?" I often get assigned short deadline "redos," which, if my impressions are correct, means my machines are well-trusted. Correction: If you get an invalid, your reputation will be ruined. However if you just get an error and all wingmen get the same error, your reputation will remain intact since your machine was not at fault for the error. Lets qualify: 1) Invalid is not Error 2) The "Zero Redundant" reputation is suspended till 5 new sequential valids are returned. 3) A return of a non-error result doubles quota for the day until daily maximum as been reached. Aborting known bad work only causes others to receive a copy of the bad work... suspending the tasks till the techs send a "server aborted", prevents this, as then that is concerted with stopping the bad batch distribution. Briefly unsuspend the bad tasks to fetch work from other sciences [increase the buffer a bit], then suspend them again, till the tech green light is given [of course if you're willing to wait on that and do some MM]. Now who got invalids because of this particular bad batches event? Non to few is my reading, so what's the worry? |
