There must be some security conflict as a result of a change with Windows 8, but I just downloaded the Windows client and tried to install it on the production version of Windows 8 (available for download from MSDN if you have an account) and it won't let the installer put users in a security group and the stall stops and backs itself out.

Yes, plz see prior forum posts on W8 [preview]. You need at least 7.0.31 ** I think for proper installation, but am reading that even 7.0.33 is failing for some in regard to setting the correct data folder permissions.
