After the current target is finished running (around the first week of August), the Computing for Clean Water project will be paused with no work to send to members. The researchers need some time to analyze the results up to this point before they can create the next targets of work. They hope to have these determined in the latter part of September. They also expect to publish another paper based on the results to date.
----------------------------------------The research scientists do sincerely thank our members for their contribution and support and we hope the members will continue to contribute to other projects in the mean time. [Edit 1 times, last edit by TKH at Jul 12, 2012 12:53:33 PM] |

Ah, okay - thanks for the 'heads-up'. I'll change my focus slightly so as to ensure that I reach my Emerald badge before the pause (at a rough calculation, I'm estimating that I need to download another ~85 WU's).

Thank you for the information. It sounds as if good use is being made of our results if another paper is imminent.

...and there is no point asking how many more work units there will be/how long - you don't have them yet, so I won't and neither will anyone else ;P hehehe... of course nobody else will ask that type of questions CJSL The need to crunch.... |

The last of the new workunits for the current target will go out in the next couple of days, probably on 7/28. Thanks again for all the members contributions to this project and stay tuned for information on future work.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Excellent - my timing in near perfect, as I do believe that (once the last 2 WU's that I've currently got in my cache have completed and been returned), I need just 1 more WU to reach Emerald - which I'll be able to fetch tomorrow (after I've done a final, confirmatory calculation).
