Did I miss the notice about no WUs available?

A world hangs together of coincidences... I just put a post into the CFSW problem thread about the seeming supply imbalance when just running a mix of SN2S + CFSW [timewise 7:1 ratio]. No announcement, but decided to bulk up just a few hours ago [with now 5 days worth on an octo, so good for less than 3/4th of a day. Think it's just with the low supply that there are gaps in the feeder availability... they'll show up again I'm so anticipating.

If we'd skip a heartbeat for every false positive *seen* in BOINC message log, we'd probably all be bluefaced in the IC. My client decided to connect and report a bunch and ask for a bunch... to get 32 ;>)

On the PC I saw the message, it is only receiving CFSW WUs. So, it ran out of work (queue size, 2 days).

You post in the CFSW forum, and then you write C4SW [not a WCG project], or did you mean C4CW? I really can't follow, but what I do follow is that since I switched to CFSW only for this host, this client has not once received a "No work..." warning, so there seemingly is enough piped for the exclusive crunchers. Better post the message log, 10 lines before and after the alerting message, so we can read what's going on.

I found the problem. I had suspended some WUs from another project. When I unsuspended them, I got more CFSW WUs!

Well, the next client, still in test would print in msg log:
933 World Community Grid 4-7-2012 18:21:41 Not requesting tasks: some task is suspended via Manager When this one is endorsed by WCG (Fall maybe), it will be getting so much quieter on the forums :D Glad it was solved. P.S. Using BOINCTasks (the only BOINC manager I use), you can color code tasks with different statuses. Mine is configured to show them with bright yellow background. Hard to miss. ;P |
