Re: Zero Redundancy for Say No to Schistosoma

Yes all the VINA apps have some retry logic built into them. There are some circumstances such as shutting down windows which can cause the VINA sub process to error out in an unexpected way. If this occurs the app will temporarily exit and retry after a delay.

Thanks,

Almost always there's rhyme and reason. Thanks for that, armstrdj.

Re: Zero Redundancy for Say No to Schistosoma

I had a surprise single SNS WU turn up a few days ago - unfortunately I didn't manage to capture the error log and the whole lot has now been wiped off the main log - suffice to say that it was sent out to about a dozen crunchers and every one was an Error reported WU - although credits were awarded, so I don't know if this was a known Error prone WU tried for consistency or if it was indeed a rogue one!! Either way, we can do without too many others of that species!!!

A dozen copies? The distribution stops at 5 returned errors and the hard stop is at 7 IIRC, so that number certainly would need investigation... which will be hard with a result name or log. Maybe you can see which one it was in the job_log_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.txt or stdoutdael.txt file. A single SN2S would not be hard to discern in those files, it being the last one at that.
