First few have behaved and returned ok. (64 bit linux OSes) Next tests seeing how they like the machine being suspended/hibernated. All seems fine so far.

Got a couple on this box (Slackware 13.37 64bit with 32bit compat libs , BOINC 6.12.41 64bit, XFCE 4.6.2 desktop, Intel Q6600 4GB RAM)
----------------------------------------Suspending and resuming individual units went fine. Full system restart no problems. Did have the machine lock up solid on my while running them though. Work units came back up fine after hard reset as well. No error messages, just unresponsive desktop, no mouse function, nothing. May well not be related but since it happened at the same time (and hasn't happened before on this machine) I'll mention it. Also saw several on anther machine (Ubuntu 10.04 32bit, BOINC 7.0.24, Gnome 2.4 desktop Intel Xeon 2P 2GB RAM) that had no ill behavior at all. Currently being moderated under false pretences |

Did have the machine lock up solid on my while running them though. Now that you mention it... My Win 7 computer rebooted itself , almost like there was a power failure. It has been running for months 24/7 and never had any problems before. But I know there was no interruption of power because my Linux computer is plugged into the same power strip and it did not reboot. Maybe it is not related to the 8 beta units that were running , but then again... Anyway , when it came back up they continued normally. So far anyway. |

Rebooted while 2 Beta DSFL units were processing, no problems in Result Logs, both in PV:

One of the computers running WCG shut down as if powered had failed. But I had the same happening a few minutes before to another computer not running WCG, so i did not associate that with the beta WU. |

Probably just Microsoft doing a service patch upgrade to the Microsoft SW. Nothing to worry about. Patrick |

Received one work unit [BETA_DSFL_000060-8_0000031_0410].
----------------------------------------Stopped, rebooted and it resumed from checkpoint. No Issue.

Probably just Microsoft doing a service patch upgrade to the Microsoft SW. Nothing to worry about. Unlikely because I have updates turned off. Manual updates only. Defrag scheduling off , screensaver/monitor sleep off , no updates... Oh well they finished successfully , now back to regular crunching. Keep the Beta's coming. I only need another 683 days worth to get my Blue B badge. |

Only a few left in PV. All others are Valid. I did what I could on the crunchers I had access to. But alas, I couldn't break any of the WUs.

I ran these on some AMDs and some Pentiums.
Single core and multi core. Windows XP and Win 7 PRO. They all ran flawlessly that I seen. One I had to manually suspend the other tasks to get boinc to finally jump on it but that's not a beta issue. Thank you Aaron |
