Beta test for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (May 31, 2012) Issues Thread

Yup, the second beta test running at this time. Please try to post all issues with DSFL within this thread. Please place the work unit name within your issue, so others know for sure it wasn't placed in the wrong thread.

Re: Beta test for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (May 31, 2012) Issues Thread

Anyone netting might want to add the application mask in the (SONAR) exception white list.

wcgrid_dsfl_vina_prod_x86.exe.6.25
wcgrid_gfam_vina_prod_x86.exe.6.12

Different than anything seen before. My Avast popped up the proposal to sandbox the execution, so told it to process normally and remember that decision.

2 Beta's concurrent, means 2 per core, together. ;P

edit: The Avast 7 popped up a screen also for GFAM Beta.

Maybe start a separate thread collecting where thumbs up reporting can be done with what form, then add that to the Start Here FAQ's. Who's game to kick this off?

Hard reset dual core laptop by pushing the power button without ordinary shutdown (OS Vista32) with 1 BETA DSFL and 1 BETA GFAM running.
After restart both tasks continued from last saved checkpoint with success.

Re: Beta test for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (May 31, 2012) Issues Thread

several betas, 22? power off/on via DRAC on the server, all fired up at checkpoint. anywhere from 2 minutes to hours to go, nice!
box was ASHMBX3
addin both gfam and dsfl...

To add-
windows boxes to XP, Win7x64, Server2003, Server2008R2 - everything from hitting the power button to orderly shutdown, suspend/resume, graphics, etc... it all worked:)

I did have to allow two executables for DFSL in AVG.
No issues running Symantec Endpoint Protection v12 (sonar enabled, not scanning aggressively) on other boxes. FWIW they never have- I've never excluded any BOINC/WCG bits, I see them getting live scanned all the time.

Re: Beta test for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis (May 31, 2012) Issues Thread

The four DSFL Beta WU's that my computer's managed to grab, all restarted okay after; a) removing the LAIM option, b) restarting Boinc in a controlled manner, and c) after literally cutting all power to the machine - i.e., an uncontrolled shutdown of the laptop. All I've got to do now, is wait for them to finish (and they're competing against the four GFAM Beta WU's my machine has picked up), and validate.

PS. my machine is a Windows 7, 64 bit machine.
