I haven't been able to come with a snappier title but if you get a new PC as your old one has been retired the question is how do I keep all those points that I have accumulated already ?????

First download the agent again from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/join_now.html you might have to allow the download if Internet Explorer or Firefox for example block the download.

Run the WorldCommunityGridAgent.exe file, accept the license agreement and select the disk drive letter where you would like the agent installing (choose the default it's easier that way ) Select the connection speed e.g. if you are on a broadband connection select DSL

Then a screen pops up like the one below



The secret is to click to tick the box "Click here if you are an existing member" Enter your Original User Name e.g. Samuel Clemens then your original password e.g XD (..... whoops nearly gave the game away ) then in the box Give this Grid agent a name type in a new name for your new pc e.g. NewPCnumber3

When you press the login button the agent will download a whopping 5Mb file to your PC and you will see all of your old points returned.

n.b. this also works if you want to add more than one PC to your crunching arsenal for each new PC you add just give each new PC you download the software for a new name e.g cruncher1, cruncher2 etc.
