Hi,
I process for 'Help Conquer Cancer' and have noticed that some jobs have been coming through as beta with CUDA and coda_opencl. These units of work are processed VERY quickly. Are the they same size as the regular units? When using my GPU, my PC runs unusably slowly. When using the CPU I cannot tell BOINC is running using the default settings. I think some adjustment in the % use of the GPU would be handy. Happy to beta test clients if it would help; especially as many new laptops come with hybrid graphics solutions. Cheers DrT |

Hello DrT and welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what you are asking but you cannot throttle GPU's in boinc like you can CPU's. There are some utilities you can use like GPUZ and EVGA Precision. Thanks for contributing.

Hello DrTeeth,
On the website select My Grid - Device Manager - (Selected Profile) and set the profile to NOT use the GPU. Then save. This will keep BOINC from making your laptop unusably slow. Lawrence |
