Hi all:
From about 3 days ago, my computer have problems to save tasks progression. Before this 3 days I've not changed anything in my profile, so I don't know what happen. The facts: - All tasks are from "Clean energy project phase 2 6.40" - With all tasks, when I reboot computer go back at the same point that had started the previous day, losing all the progression. - I have tried to change profile "mantain in memory when task is suspended", after that I updated, but the behaviour is the same. Any suggestion?. Perhaps there is the problem on the servers side? Thanks in advance, Joxemi |

Hi,
No idea... if you have not changed your ways of running the computer, then your client will behave the same. That said, if you boot your computer [the proper way of course and not hitting the power button], then any task will go back to the last checkpoint saved. In case of CEP2, at times checkpoints, depending on device speed and % CPU time used setting, will need 4-5 hours to reach the next save point. You can monitor the saving by adding the <checkpoint_debug> to the log flag options in the configuration file. For that, visit this FAQ: Project Checkpoint Saving - How to Minimize Progress Loss on Close/Restart Whilst booting a computer is periodically necessary [e.g. the monthly Windows updates], hibernating a computer actually resumes tasks from the last second, even if a checkpoint has not been saved yet. Description is in the referenced FAQ. Let us know --//-- P.S. If you entered the "Leave Application In Memory" option on the website profile, it may be that your local preferences are overriding. Then visit the local preferences screen and hit the Clear button, so that the website device profile prefs can take effect. |

Thank you SekeRob:
Your link about checkpoint saving has been very useful. I was checking tasks; the problem is checkpoints are very long in time, so I have improved the amount of CPU percentage. In the end tasks have been checked ![]() Thank you for your suggestion about to local preferences, I always review when I change the device profiles. Thanks again, Joxemi |
