I notice that my HFCC WUs are all being run with Replication = 1 and Minimum Quorum = 1. Isn't it rather risky to run these effectively without a wingman? I don't think my machine is THAT dependable!

.I don't think my machine is THAT dependable! The way to tell if your returning good work is in My Grid under Results Status on the left. Look at weather tasks say valid under Status you have nothing to be concerned about. If result say invalid you have reason to be concerned ![]() |

I notice that my HFCC WUs are all being run with Replication = 1 and Minimum Quorum = 1. Isn't it rather risky to run these effectively without a wingman? I don't think my machine is THAT dependable! The way to look at this is: If valid, it means it passed a number of verification rules, to include checks for tampering. Then, when the results get to the scientists and the particular output shows promising data, low energy docking etc, then the result is rerun in the labs... after all no lab test is accepted until it's proven reproducible. Periodically, your computer's assignments do get a wingman "Replication - 2", so there are second opinions, to ensure the device has not been faking it. Net, things are OK in 99.99999% of the times and volunteered devices are deemed trustworthy [but the system is always on guard ;>] --//-- |

Oh, I see what you are saying. All of my results say either "In Progress" or "Valid." I guess I needn't worry. Thank you for the elucidation!

Cool but what about a science update? The last one was in August 2011. yes it would be extremely interesting to read about results of lab in-vitro testing of found "good" compounds ![]() Indeed it would... ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

The work units for HFCC are now at the last stage and are working for target-9. The Chiba research team is completing the manuscript for the first target, TrkB, and expect to report about the exciting discovery of several candidate inhibitors to kill the neuroblastoma cells at very low concentration.
Thank You, Dr. Akira Nakagawara |
