Can I remove a device from the website?

I apologise for the stupid question but...I installed WCG on 4 devices. My laptop, my desktop, my brother's desktop and my dad's desktop. all set for 24/7 computing.

now my dad's desktop is the interesting one. It was computing files like FAAH in 30 hours. HCC in 5-6 hours. little slow bugger. Anyway...it died. Like it...died.

question 1: will the WCG agent inside it keep drawing files and mess up other people?

question 2: can I separate it from the project via website since it's dead?

question 3: since it's on my account will it hurt me if it stays dead but with a 'running' WCG or will it simply stop pulling files etc since it cant run the program and basically cause no harm?

thank you for your help and appologies again for what probably is a stupid question. laughing

edited for spelling.

Re: Can I remove a device from the website?

In WCG, once a device is in the records it stays in the records due to accounting/backtraking purposes.
If the device 'dies' with uncompleted WU inside, they will time out and will be re-sent to another PC by WCG so nothing is ever lost.
If it is truly 'dead' it CANNOT keep requesting work from WCG..... biggrin

I see. thank you very much.

due to its amazing speed, which rivals a pocket calculator, it wasn't a lot of WUs in it. :)

hopefully his descendant will be strongfer, faster, better.
